As summer settles into Napa Valley, bringing longer days and golden light across the vineyards, we celebrate the return of one of Schramsberg’s most spirited and expressive wines: Querencia Rosé.
This vibrant Brut Rosé, crafted from Napa Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is more than a seasonal favorite — it’s a wine with heart and heritage. Named for the Spanish word “querencia”, which refers to a place from which one draws strength and inspiration, this wine captures the essence of summer: bright, generous, and full of life.
With its soft coral hue and fine, persistent bubbles, Querencia opens with aromas of wild strawberry, tangy citrus, and delicate rose petal. On the palate, a graceful tension unfolds — crisp acidity, creamy texture, and lingering red fruit make it a quintessential summer sparkling wine, perfect for afternoon picnics, twilight dinners, or a simple toast to warm evenings.

John Di Filippo will be firing up his wood fired oven to provide us with delectable pizzas to go with the wines. John spent seven years developing an artisanal style pizza dough relying only on a starter to ferment the dough. Pizzas are baked in the 850 degree wood fired oven with the right amount of char, texture and quality toppings. With local farmer’s market, ranchers and cheese producers available, the carefully crafted pizza toppings complement his naturally leavened pizza dough. The tomato sauce uses San Marzano plum tomatoes, sea salt and olive oil.
